Born on 11 February 1964 at Pune (Poona), India, Dr. Ajit Joshi, completed most of his eduction at Pune and passed B. Sc. in chemistry from University of Pune.

His doctorate, completed in 1992, is in the Tehnology of Oils, Fats and Waxes, from Bombay University Department of Chemical Technology (BUDCT), Mumbai, India. This includes specialization in vegetable oil processing, soaps, detergents, surfactants, oleochemicals, essential oils, perfumes, cosmetics and lubricants. He has a B. Sc. in chemistry from the University of Pune, India. Apart from a couple of years' experience in production, commissioning, research and development, Dr. Ajit Joshi has over twelve years' experience in market research for chemicals, specialty chemicals, polymers, etc.

Dr. Ajit Joshi has written and published about 100 technocommercial papers, including more than 25 detailed profiles, in leading trade journals like Chemical Weekly in India.
